Learn to use your camera's manual functions to your creative advantage. This is a short course on manual camera basics with a professional twist. Learn from a full-time professional how to get the most out of your camera. This course is taught in a step-by-step format that walks you through the basics but leads you to a whole new world of creative possibilities. The course is a must for the beginning photographer or rusty enthusiast. A fun, educational time is guaranteed for all.

Session I


Camera cleaning and general maintenance

Understanding shutter speeds

Understanding aperature control

Understanding TTL metering system

Film speed and sensitivity

Taking all the variables and using them as creative tools.

There will be a class assignment with a theme. The assignment will need to be completed and available for critique at the next class.

Session 2 and 3

Built-in flash - the pros and cons (red eye)

On-camera flash and accessories (Strobframe, etc)

Use of available light

Lenses

Filters

Steady shooting

Composition

Artist Bio

Rob is a native of St. Petersburg who spent ten years in the motion picture industry working in various positions. After studying photography at PTEC, he interned with a Master Photographer and later opened his own studio specializing in portraiture,commercial,architectural,weddings and events. He is a member of the Florida Professonal Photographers,TAPPA Photographers Association and International Christian Photographers . Rob loves photography and has an obvious enthusuasm for it which is revealed in his teaching techniques
