Art Glass is a difficult & expensive art form to create.
Factor in the high cost of the glass itself and the high electric cost to run the kiln. Now days its merely impossible to sell art glass at a price that people can afford. Using recycled bottles helps keep the cost of a finished item affordable and keeps America beautiful.
Cheryl started making glass pieces using left over glass from Jims framing business. She hates seeing anything thrown out that can be used to create art.So much so that someone was throwing away a set of shower doors and she made 2 stained glass windows from the marbles.
While visiting Jims Mother during the holidays Cheryl saw and enjoyed a royal green colored glass bottle and wondered if she could take it home and try to make something with it. Pretty much one thing lead to another and now Jim & Cheryl collect bottles to create cool items that can be used in our everyday lives. Its nice to know we are doing our part to recycle and making nice items that everyone can afford and enjoy.
